Liability Release *
I am volunteering of my own free will and understand that I will not receive compensation or employee benefits for this service.
I am aware that participation as a volunteer may require physical requirements, i.e. standing, lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, and will require the exercise of reasonable care to avoid injury. I am voluntarily participating in this activity with knowledge of the hazards and potential dangers involved, and agree to accept any and all risks of personal injury and property damage. I certify that I am in adequate physical condition to perform this work.
As consideration for volunteering for Extra Terrestrial Projects, I hereby agree that I, and my assignees, heirs, guardians, and legal representatives, will not make a claim against or sue Extra Terrestrial Projects or its employees, agents or contractors for injury or damage, whether active or passive, however caused, as a result of my volunteering.
I HEREBY RELEASE AND DISCHARGE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL PROJECTS, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND CONTRACTORS FROM ALL ACTIONS, CLAIMS, OR DEMANDS THAT I, MY HEIRS, GUARDIANS, AND LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES NOW HAVE, OR MAY HAVE IN THE FUTURE, FOR INJURY OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT.
I understand that if I am injured in the course of the project, I am covered by Extra Terrestrial Projects' volunteer accident insurance. I authorize Extra Terrestrial Projects to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf in case of injury, accident or illness to me arising from my involvement as a volunteer.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in the woodlands! The weather looks like it will be a lovely 82 degrees.
We’ll all meet at Prospect Park Southwest and 16th Street Entrance at 10am. You might not be as familiar with this entrance, so please check out this map. It’s 3 blocks southeast of the F/G 15th Street subway stop where the movie theater and traffic circle are.
We’ll post location info on twitter @ET_Projects
For the rewilding:
Please wear closed toed shoes and clothes to plant and pull in.
Long pants are recommended so you aren’t scratched by the woodland plants.
We’ll have gloves and tools for you!
A water bottle would be great.
Please bring a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray if those are things you often need when outdoors.
For the picnic:
Picnic Attire and Picnic Blankets.
We will have a picnic check available at the 10am registration if you would like to check any blankets or changes of clothing.
Let us know if you would like to invite friends! We will make room.
